With this trip I had another one of those experiences where on the one hand you feel like seven days has flown by whilst on the other it feels like the trip has lasted for weeks because you have seen so many places and done so many things.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We spent our last afternoon and evening on Koh Yao Yai having a tour around and then we were set to have dinner on the island. At one point we all started murmuring under our breath about the fact that we wouldn’t be at sea to enjoy the final sunset of the trip and our panic began to grow the nearer to sunset we got. Fortunately it was all under control and we ended up back on the beach just in time to see an incredible sunset which was a very fitting end to an amazing adventure on the Andaman Sea.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As the sun went down the mist and clouds started slowly rolling in and made for a very atmospheric dusk and fortunately the heavy rain help off just until we got back on board the boat and then the heavens opened and the winds increased so much so we had to move to a safer more protected bay for the night. This is the unpredictable life on the waves. Fortunately for us we had the best crew you could possibly wish for who knew exactly what to do and didn’t share their concerns with us until the next morning when it was all over.<\/p>\n

The icing on the cake of any trip is always the people. Your experience with people can either enhance or ruin an experience or any degree of either in-between. For me on all of my travelling in South East Asia the people I have met have been lovely and most delightful to hang out with and learn about each others lives. Many have become friends for life and even better I have new places to visit and new friends to visit me. This week was no exception, these are some of the fantastic bunch I spent my week with.<\/p>\n

And finally a quick word about the company that organised it. I have been on a number of GAdventures<\/a> trips now and every one of them has been brilliant. They offer such a huge range of travel experiences with small groups suited to everyone practically anywhere in the world. I am very impressed with their ethos of making sure the tourist money goes back to the local communities and provides a livelihood for ordinary people rather than big conglomerate firms. I am already thinking where I might go next.<\/p>\n
