It’s Inktober time again which means an ink drawing a day for the whole of October. To be honest its not really a difficulty its more of a pleasure. I was a little late starting as I had a nasty bug for the first couple of days of the month but I’m getting back on track now. There are some set prompts provided for subject matter for the drawings but I have just gone with whatever is around me each day that seems interesting for some reason. On Thursday I am off on my next adventure so the drawings should get increasingly interesting as the month goes on…I hope anyway!

Just over a week ago I was in Bournemouth catching up with lots of different friends but managed one day entirely to myself which turned out to be a proper treat. I spent a good chunk of it on the beach swimming and soaking up

Drawing

Drawing takes me to my happy place. It is a very personal way to document a journey, experience or encounter. My marks are unique to me and hopefully convey something which adds another dimension to my stories. I usually travel with at least a sketchbook and a couple of fine liner pens and a well used compact travel watercolour set.
