Well hello to you all for the first time in almost ten months. My apologies for going quiet but life events kind of took over and I have struggled to keep my head above water. I needed some time to rest, heal and rediscover what life is all about for me. I am still in the midst of that process but felt it was time to re-ignite my passion for this blog and I wanted to start sharing stories again. So those of you out there who read this thank you for your patience and sticking around I appreciate it!
One of the things that has kept me going is drawing and hiding away in my studio making things. The act of making really helps the mind to switch off and go to a happy place and rest it for a while. So towards the end of last year I decided to set myself the task of making a little book with one good memory for each month on one side and my favourite food experience that month on the other. It did me good to remember the good things for a bit rather than focus on the sad things.
I am so glad I took lots of photographs of it because I then decided to post it as a gift to a friend and it never arrived! So it is out there somewhere in the big wide world all on its own. To be honest it really sums up 2018 to a tee. Anyway I hope you enjoy the images and I wish you every happiness for the year ahead and look forward to sharing more stories with you very soon.
